Phoenix 2 Revamps Gameplay with Campaign and Controller Support

The Android indie shoot 'em up, Phoenix 2, has received a massive update brimming with new content and features. Fans of its fast-paced action and strategic depth should read on to discover what's new.

What's Included in This Update?

A major addition is the all-new campaign mode. No more just daily missions; now players can immerse themselves in a full-fledged campaign featuring 30 meticulously designed missions. The story unfolds using characters from the Phoenix 2 universe, creating a compelling narrative experience.

This campaign provides a fresh and engaging challenge for both veterans and newcomers, offering a welcome change of pace from the daily missions. A visually stunning new Starmap enhances exploration as players navigate various locations and battle invaders.

Custom player tags add another layer of personalization. VIP players can customize their leaderboard entries with a range of designs, colors, and information to create a unique and memorable profile. High scores achieved with these custom tags remain permanently on the leaderboard.

Controller support is another key feature. Players who prefer using a gamepad will find Phoenix 2 now fully compatible with modern controllers.

A Revamped User Interface

Speedrunners and competitive players will appreciate the addition of wave progress indicators and a new timer during missions, providing real-time feedback during intense gameplay.

Beyond the significant additions, several smaller improvements and bug fixes have been implemented, including updated character portraits. Download Phoenix 2 from the Google Play Store, select your ship, and dive into the action!
