Quick Links

Infested missions are among the toughest in 7 Days To Die, unlocked after completing 10 Tier 1 missions, granting access to Tier 2 missions and beyond. Higher tiers present greater difficulty and stronger enemies (radiated zombies, cops, ferals). Tier 6 is the most challenging.

Starting an Infested Clear Mission

To initiate any mission, visit one of the five traders (Rekt, Jen, Bob, Hugh, or Joe). Mission difficulty depends on tier and biome; wasteland missions are tougher than forest missions.

Completing an Infested Clear Mission

Upon reaching the Point of Interest (POI), activate the mission marker. Leaving the area or dying results in mission failure. Avoid the obvious path; it often triggers traps. Use alternative routes, possibly employing building blocks to bypass obstacles or gain a tactical advantage.

Red dots on the screen indicate nearby zombies; size correlates to proximity. Prioritize headshots. Be aware of special zombie types:

Zombie Type Abilities Countermeasures
Cops Spit toxic vomit, explode when injured Maintain distance, use cover before they spit.
Spiders Jump long distances Listen for their screech before they jump; prepare for quick headshots.
Screamers Summon other zombies Eliminate them first to prevent overwhelming hordes.
Demolition Zombies Explosive package on chest Avoid hitting their chest; run if the explosive starts beeping.

The final room contains high-tier loot, but also a large number of zombies. Ensure you're fully prepared before entering. Escape if overwhelmed. After clearing the zombies, collect loot (including the Infested Cache) and report back to the trader.

Infested Clear Mission Rewards

Rewards are random, influenced by game stage, loot stage (boosted by the Lucky Looter skill and Treasure Hunter mod), mission tier, and perk selection. The "A Daring Adventurer" perk (especially at rank 4) significantly improves rewards, granting more Dukes and allowing selection of two rewards. Sell unwanted items to the trader for additional XP.
