In a recent analysis, industry expert Matthew Ball suggested that if leading companies like Rockstar and Take-Two set new pricing standards for AAA titles at $100, it could potentially save the gaming industry. This sparked a significant discussion among gamers, especially regarding the willingness to pay such a price for the entry-level edition of Grand Theft Auto 6.

Surprisingly, a survey conducted among nearly 7,000 respondents revealed that over one-third of participants would be willing to spend $100 on the basic version of the highly anticipated sandbox game from Rockstar. This comes at a time when other major publishers like Ubisoft are pushing for the purchase of extended editions of their games, highlighting a shift in consumer expectations and spending habits.

Ball's statement quickly gained traction online, suggesting that if major publishers begin to adopt a $100 price point for their premium games, it could set a new industry standard. He pointed to Rockstar and Take-Two as potential leaders in this shift, capable of setting a precedent for others to follow.

Looking ahead, Rockstar has announced plans to update Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online in 2025. This update aims to bring the PC version in line with the enhancements seen in the PS5 and Xbox Series versions. While specific details remain under wraps, it's anticipated that the update will go beyond mere visual improvements.

Additionally, there's speculation that the GTA+ subscription, currently exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series users, could be extended to PC gamers. This move could bring PC players access to exclusive features like Hao's special car modifications, which allow vehicles to achieve extreme speeds, currently unavailable on the PC version of Grand Theft Auto Online.

With these developments, there's a strong possibility that PC gamers might soon enjoy the same level of extreme turbo-tuning as their console counterparts, further enhancing the gaming experience across platforms.
