Muesli Unveils Narrative Mobile Game 'In Their Shoes'

Indie developer We Are Muesli has unveiled their upcoming narrative experience In Their Shoes, scheduled for a 2026 launch across mobile and PC platforms. The project has already gained recognition with a nomination for the prestigious 'A MAZE. 2025' independent games awards in Berlin.

A Narrative Experience Focused on Empathy

Set in contemporary Milan with all its urban contrasts, the game invites players to inhabit the perspectives of seven diverse characters. Through 49 interactive vignettes called "Moments", players witness fragments of ordinary lives transformed into meaningful stories.

These Moments authentically capture human experiences - from quiet reflections to urgent decision points. Some unfold in real-time, while others allow space for contemplation, mirroring life's varying tempos.

Breaking from conventional storytelling, In Their Shoes presents narrative fragments rather than clean plot arcs. Players gradually piece together 26 biographical elements for each character, creating a rich mosaic of interconnected urban lives.
