Rebel Wolves studio founder Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, previously known for directing The Witcher 3, has unveiled an innovative gameplay system for their upcoming title The Blood of Dawnwalker. While dual-nature protagonists are common in other media, this represents their first thorough implementation in a video game.

Tomaszkiewicz explained the team's philosophy during an interview: "We consciously avoided creating another progressively overpowered superhero archetype. Instead, we envisioned a protagonist whose existence fundamentally changes between day and night cycles." The protagonist Coen will retain all human vulnerabilities during daylight hours while unlocking supernatural vampiric abilities after sunset.
